The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is made up of 13 individuals selected by the Missouri Attorney General. CAC members represent the different regions served by the Foundation and are primarily responsible for nominating Board of Director candidates. Ultimately, Committee members are accountable to the citizens of Missouri and help ensure state-wide grantmaking programs receive regional perspective.

In order to obtain "grassroots" input regarding unmet community health care needs, the CAC conducted numerous public forums across the State of Missouri. Public forums provided an excellent opportunity for Missourians to learn more about Foundation programs and to ask questions about the foundation and its grantmaking programs. Individuals spoke about the health issues and needs faced within their community.
