Limits on Applications
and Awards
The Missouri Foundation for Health wants to
assure that its funds are widely distributed both programmatically
and geographically (within the 84 counties and the City of
St. Louis that comprise the MFH service area).
To accomplish this goal, the following limits apply to all
grant programs:
- The total amount of new
grants provided to any single organization in any fiscal
year is limited to an amount equal to 10 percent of the
total allocated by MFH for distribution in that year. However,
this limitation shall not include grants that are joint
efforts with community organization(s) in which a community
organization is the lead applicant and responsible organization
under the grant.
- Effective January 2005,
no single organization can have more than three (3) applications
under review in a single grant program at any one point
in time, regardless of the amount requested.
- MFH funding cannot exceed 25 percent
of an organization's annual operating expense. Each year,
the total annual funding from all MFH current grants/contracts
with an organization is considered in calculating the 25
percent limit.
