Rebuilding lives is the most important "next step" in the aftermath of an emergency. When an EF5 tornado decimated Joplin in May 2011, southwest Missouri nonprofits turned to MFH to provide much-needed emergency funds just days after the disaster. MFH's emergency funding program is designed to jump-start efforts to connect those affected to the physical and mental health services they so desperately need.
