Data Management Assistant

ROLE
The Data Management Assistant is responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and accuracy of organizational data across multiple sources and systems. They will assist in the development and facilitation of training related to managing data. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and assess data quality across multiple systems and databases, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance data accuracy and consistency
  • Assist with the development and implementation of an effective data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures for managing and ensuring data accuracy and integrity across the Foundation
  • Collaborate with staff and functional areas to identify and ensure data is collected, organized, and manage effectively and in alignment with Foundation needs
  • Generate reports and dashboards for Foundation staff and other key audiences to analyze and evaluate trends that inform decision-making
  • Assist with training sessions to educate employees on data governance
  • Participates in team activities and completes diverse assignments in support of team goals
  • Performs general Foundation support activities and carries out special projects as required
  • Adheres to the Foundation’s core and staff values
  • Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience working with databases
  • Understanding of data management strategies and desire to learn new strategies
  • Familiarity with data management tools
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail for evaluating and improving data quality
  • CRM (preferably Salesforce), business intelligence, and grants management systems experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex information to a non-technical audience
  • Understands and applies techniques to prioritize work based upon urgency, complexity, and volume and demonstrates ability to keep multiple tasks progressing to a successful conclusion simultaneously
  • Experience working successfully in a collaborative environment through building effective relationships
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Capable of exercising independent judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with management, staff, and the public, as well as being flexible and resilience

SALARY RANGE
The starting salary range for this position is $47,380 to $52,839 per year.
