Janet Gooch, a licensed speech-language pathologist, is executive vice president for academic affairs and provost at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Prior to her current role, Gooch served as dean of the School of Health Sciences and Education at Truman State University. As a professor in communication disorders, she has lectured and written extensively on professional training, screening, and treatment related to speech and language disorders and taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate level courses in the discipline. Gooch holds multiple degrees in speech-language pathology: a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas, master’s degree from Kent State University, and a PhD from Case Western Reserve University. Gooch joined the Community Advisory Council in 2012 and the Board in 2015.
