Our state is only as strong as our people. And our people - our families, friends, and neighbors - are strong when they have access to the food, shelter, health care, and economic support they need to lead healthy lives. When we look out for one another, we all see #TheNetBenefit.
In summer 2018, we unveiled our first-ever Foundation-branded communications campaign, The Net Benefit. Our goal - to educate about the importance of the social safety net, and how we are collectively better off when we take care of those who need help most - particularly children, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.
Sometimes it's difficult to see or appreciate the vast web of services, both government and community based, that make up our health and social safety net. As part of our country's commitment to general well-being, supports like food stamps, housing subsidies, economic assistance, food pantries, and more were created.
We joined forces with 22 partner organizations to help develop and spread the message of #TheNetBenefit. In just six months we engaged in a storytelling tour, created radio and web advertisements, embarked on a social media campaign, created fact sheets and toolkits, and more. We're just getting started - expect to hear more from #TheNetBenefit in 2019!
