State fiscal year 2022 was a big one for Medicaid in Missouri. Thanks to the implementation of Medicaid expansion, thousands of adult Missourians became eligible for MO HealthNet for the first time. As work continues to enroll the adult expansion group, another issue impacting enrollment will soon be upon us – the unwinding of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
